Description of Plumbing
Plumbing is the skilled trade of installing, repairing, and maintaining water supply, drainage, sewage, and sanitation systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. It involves the use of various pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing tools to ensure the safe and efficient distribution of water and proper disposal of wastewater.
The Diploma in Plumbing provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in pipe fitting, water supply systems, sanitary installations, drainage systems, plumbing maintenance, leak detection, and modern plumbing technologies. The course also emphasizes workplace safety, environmental practices, estimation and costing, customer service, and entrepreneurship.
Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be qualified to work as Plumbers, Plumbing Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, Pipe Fitters, Sanitary Installers, or establish their own plumbing contracting and maintenance business.
